What's up with the bugs?
Franz Kafka is one of the greatest and strangest authors of the last 100 years. His novella, "The Metamorphosis" is the story of a man who wakes up one morning as a "vermin," which most scholars have interpreted as a beetle-like insect. It is one of my all-time favorite pieces of literature!
